Fairness and Flexibility: Towards an Equitable Energy Future

The EnTraNTS/FlexiNET conference brings together a network of stakeholders with a shared vision of exploring non-traditional energy services and innovative transactions (EnTraNTS) and their potential for improving the welfare and wellbeing of fuel poor and vulnerable consumers in a flexible, low-carbon energy system (FlexiNET).

The conference will explore the future of the energy system. From the provision of energy as a service (e.g., comfort, illumination) to the vast array of energy-related services currently breaking through the market and changing the landscape of consumers’ preferences as we know it.

We will investigate the potential solutions to one of the most complex issues in the UK energy system – residential heat decarbonisation. Together we will formulate a core set of solutions and test their mettle using Catapult Energy System’s innovative online tool: ‘Beta Fuel Poverty’ (created collaboratively by stakeholders, for stakeholders, interested in evaluating concepts and interventions aimed at tackling fuel poverty).

To round things off, we will learn more about the district energy scheme – the largest to be built in the UK – that will be keeping us (and the residents of Queen Elizabeth Park) warm, cool and connected throughout the day!
